![]() Here Ya GoHello everyone, so you want to know about the Tony's, we'll it SUCKED!!!
Only kidding, as far as the actual show goes it was one of the more fun and entertaining Tony awards I've seen. It started on the red carpet for us where quite frankly no one was really interested in us,(except for Taye and Idina) at least that was my perception. All the photogs were yelling at me to move so they could shoot someone else. Luckily I'm so confident in my own greatness that I was not offended. All the ladies looked lovely on the red carpet, all the guys were in various incarnations of a black suit(myself included). Daniel Radcliff was there, I was very excited, however I did not get to say hello... He is very small in person. If you are not familiar with Broadway, it really was a who's who of "who is that"? Then came the show. They had all of us in a row together. I sat with Daphne and Anthony. We laughed alot and had a great time. We sat right behind the choreographer of In the Heights. Very exciting when he won(we had a chance of getting on the tele). Some of the performances were great ie: In the heights, Passing strange and surprisingly Cry Baby. Some not so great ie: Grease(peeeew), A Catered Affair and I hate to say it but "The Little Mermaid"(the song she sang sounded like a not as good version of "Up There" from South Park the movie, you know the one Satan sings.) When it came to our performance, it was alot of fun to sing with everyone again. We really missed Jesse and Kristin as I'm sure you all did. In all, a fun evening of glitz and glamour that I don't feel the need to do again. Much Love All Adam

ChessHello everyone, just wanted to say a few words about the Chess performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London. It is always fun to do these kinds of things. Big shows that you throw together in a week and really just wing it when you get up there. But this one was especially difficult, and the cast and crew involved were stellar! I'm honored to have been a part of it. Josh Groban is one of the sweetest guys I have ever met, so much fun to work with and to find the words to describe his voice is difficult indeed. I can say that his performance of the song Anthem at the end of the first act brought tears to my eyes every time he sang it. I have rarely been so moved. Getting to work with Idina Menzel is particularly special givin that I have known her for so many years, and every time I am fortunate enough to work with her I get to know here a little better. It makes me wish that we spent more time together as kids. I feel sorry it has taken so many years for me to discover just how much I enjoy being around her.
Again, a wonderful time. I hope we can do it again... P.S. I know those of you who have purchased the record are wondering when it is coming. We will be receiving the CDs on May 22. We will begin shipping them ASAP. Thanks for you pacience. Finally I will be removing the discussion boards from this site. Please continue to sign the guestbook. But unfortunatley some of the boards have been dominated by innapropriate discussions. I'm sure these same people who start these conversations will find some other place to be haters. Thats fine, to that I say please go! I just did not set up this site for people to come and be horribly rude and disrespectful to me. You can thank people like "christina" for this decision. I briefly thought of just deleting the thread, but frankly I've had to deal with this kind of thing too often and I just decided that I dont want to be the one to provide the forum for it. much love everyone! StuffHey everyone, just wanted to clear a couple of things up. First regarding the Melbourne gig,
the show was cancelled because the band I was using got screwed by the airlines, and could not get to the gig in time. Contrary to some rumors, Larry was not with me. He was already we'll on his way back to NYC once this all started to go down. If there was anyway I could have done the show I would have. I understand the frustration that some of you who drove long distances felt at finding out the show was cancelled. Believe me I'd rather have been doing the show then sitting in Melbourne doing nothing. It sucked for everyone! Next, "Blinding Light" will only be available at our gigs, and on the MeandLarry.com website. It will available for purchase very soon!! Much love adam

BSHello all!! So some of you have mentioned that you'd like another blog. So here it is....
The new record "Blinding Light" is almost done. We are in the final stages of mixing, and I know you won"t be dissappointed. This really is the record I always wanted to make. It will be ready to go by the end of April. My wife is out of town, so its just me and the boys. It's pretty damn all-consuming, but brilliant!. Heard some good new music. A band called "Black Tide". Totally early Motley Crue/Ratt, mixed in with a little Metallica and Iron Maiden. Best part is, They're all like 19 and 20. Whoo Hoo!! And I have mentioned them before but Panic at the Disco, has a new CD. I love that band!! Thats really it. Larry and I will be back out on the road in April. Very Excited! I hope you all have a nice easter(what ever that means). much love Adam

Rent ClosingHello everyone. I feel I should address the closing of Rent on Broadway. I know there are many people who are very upset, and I understand. This show has changed many lives, mine included. However that fact, is what is important. Going to see the show over and over again only allows one to remain longer in a fantasy world. What Jonathan would have wanted is for people come away from the show with a renewed spirit, and take that feeling into the real world! To live YOUR OWN LIFE the way the characters in the show, the words and the music have inspired you to. It means nothing to come and sit in a theater night after night and immerse yourself in fantasy, only then to walk out the door and be unchanged in reality. This show will live on in our hearts. But where it truly must survive is in our actions, our compassion and our generousity of spirit towards one another. It is time for the next chapter in this story. I'm excited to see how this story continues to change lives through regional productions, High school productions, small community theater productions and eventually when my kids are old enough, THE BROADWAY REVIVAL starring LENNON AND MONTE as Mark and Roger. That would be something....
long live Rent! Adam

HelloHey everyone! So yes things have been changing around on the site. I forget to unpublish the page sometimes when im working on it, so you may see things change while your looking at them.
I know you all want a blog about Rent this summer. I don't know how much there is to say. I was very apprehensive to go back. I was concerned that no would really care that we were returning, I was concerned that I would not enjoy working with this cast, I was worried that we wouldn't be as good this time around etc. I'm thrilled to say that all my fears we laid to rest on that first night. It really felt special to walk out every night to such a wonderful, heartfelt reception. But the greatest part of that, was the response of the audience at the end of the show. The cheers and standing ovations we got at the top of the show were based on history. When we got it at the end, it was for all 15 of us, and for that particular performance. That says so much about the resilliance of the show and the impact it still has when performed with committment. I enjoyed making the film so much. As I have said before, Chris Columbus made a great movie, that has introduced Rent to a whole new audience that might not ever get to see it onstage. But I am happy that my experience with the Rent ends on the stage, where it began. Thanks to you all for being there for Anthony and I night after night, making us feel like rockstars! adam

My WifeSo believe it or not my wife Cybele has never been to this site, she has never read any of my blog posts here or on myspace etc...Anyway she finally came here to check things out, and is mortified at my lack of spelling ability. She wants the world to know she in no way condones such blatant dumminess.
She thinks i should be embarrassed(im pretty sure embarrassed is spelled wrong) or maybe not, see i don't even know...
